New Lucky buy feature

This proposal is to allow a Lucky buy “secured buy”

In this feature buyer pays 15-20% above NFT price for a chance to buy it on discount, but the buyer always gets the NFT.

How it works.

  1. Buyer selects Lucky Buy on the NFT it wants to buy and the selects secured buy.
  2. Pays NFT price +15-20% fee for the chance of getting a discount
  3. Raffle happens in the background giving the buyer a discount from 95-0%
  4. Buyer gets the NFT + the discounted ammount earned in the raffle

I think this works better than current lucky buy and is les frustrating for the buyer as buyer always gets the desired NFT. More so this has the potential of becoming the standard way to buy NFTs.

Collections may also see floor prices rising as customer willing to pay +15-20% fee are likely to hold NFTs longer, driving floor prices upwards.

I think this is a really great idea!

I saw something similar to this on other gambling games in the past on other platforms. They just label it as “insurance”.

Hey, cool idea!

The secured Lucky Buy could definitely appeal to a lot of users, as it offers more fairness – that’s clearly a step in the right direction. :white_check_mark:

But I don’t see it as a replacement – rather as a second variant of Lucky Buy.

The classic model (all or nothing) has its own charm, especially for true degens.

Your Securebuy-Spin would be a strong addition, perfect for those who want more safety but still enjoy the gamified experience.

In its current form, you don’t have my vote.

But if your proposal gets rejected and you bring it back in a second round – adjusted to run both models side by side – then you’ll have my full voting power!

Would be a real shame if the old system disappeared. Wishing you good luck either way, my friend :flexed_biceps:

Hi Diana,

Great to know your like the idea.

We agree it shouldn’t replace current lucky buy model, but it looks I wasn’t clear enough.

On point 1. When it says buyer selects “secured buy”, it implies other options are available.

I would love to get your vote for.

Kind regard.

Damn MrM – you’re totally right.

I read it too fast and went full degen mode with my response

Looking at point 1 again, it does imply it’s just an additional option – not a full replacement. So yeah, my bad!

Retracting my initial pushback.

If Lucky Buy Classic stays untouched and your Securebuy-Spin is just a new flavor for the masses… then it’s actually a win-win.

Now… confession time :grimacing:

Already voted against it – classic trigger finger. But if there’s ever a second round (or edit), you got my full backing.

Sooooorrrryyyy
