About the Magic Eden Community

Welcome to the Magic Eden Community

The Magic Eden Community is the steward of the Magic Eden Community Fund, a treasury initially seeded with 5,000,000 $ME tokens. The Fund is governed and allocated by community members within three defined categories:

  1. Community Incentives & Campaigns – Programs that drive platform usage, onboarding, education, and long-term participation, including bounties, memes, events, guilds, and regional initiatives.

  2. Grant Programs & Ecosystem Development – Funding for tools, dashboards, content, integrations, and dApps that advance the Magic Eden ecosystem.

  3. Product Improvement Impact Program – Proposals for new products, features, or modifications. Proposals reaching quorum receive a 1,000 $ME bounty, and the Magic Eden team must respond within one week.

Voting power is determined by staking power, which accounts for both the quantity of $ME staked and the staking duration, up to a maximum four-year lockup.

The Community’s authority is limited; it may not direct core business or tokenomics decisions. Governance evolves through seasonal proposals and feedback cycles.

Before a formal Proposal is accepted, the individual or group involved must have previously completed a Trial Proposal with the exception of Familia members (role-holding members within Discord). Proposals must follow a defined format including a title, abstract, motivation, key terms, specification, benefits/risks, outcomes, cost summary, and performance milestones. Discussion and ideation occur within the official governance forum and Discord, with formal voting determining allocation of the Fund.

The Magic Eden Community exists to empower its members to collectively shape and grow the ecosystem.

There is no exact timeframe. I can definitely say that it’s not immediate and takes some days.

I’m sure there are a lot of great ideas that need to be looked through.

I appreciate how the proposal process is being conducted, with everyone receiving constructive feedback without overwhelming pressure or heavy traffic. It’s great that we all have the time to thoroughly review and understand each proposal, allowing us to collaborate as a Magic Eden community and think about long-term improvements together.
