Trial Period Requirement
Before a full proposal in the Community Incentives & Campaigns or Grant Programs & Ecosystem Development categories can be submitted for quorum voting, it must first complete a trial period, unless the proposer is a recognized Familia member (role-holding individual in Discord).
Purpose
The trial period ensures that proposed initiatives demonstrate tangible value, feasibility, and community impact before significant resources are allocated.
Requirements

Duration: The trial period must run for a minimum of three (3) months, unless a shorter period is expressly approved by the Magic Eden team.

Scope: The trial must be a smaller-scale implementation or a minimum viable product (MVP) that reflects the core functionality and objectives of the full proposal.

Documentation: Proposers must track progress and compile a post-trial report including:

Measured outcomes and KPIs from the trial period.

Lessons learned and adjustments to the original plan.

Evidence of community interest or participation.

Additional Provisions

Multiple trials may be conducted for the same initiative, either sequentially or in parallel, to refine the approach and improve the likelihood of success.

Completion of a trial period does not guarantee that a full proposal will pass community voting.

A failed full proposal does not prohibit the proposer or team from submitting additional trials or revised proposals in the future.

Proposers are encouraged to treat trials as iterative opportunities for improvement, using feedback and results to optimize impact.
Exemption
Familia members are exempt from the trial requirement due to their demonstrated history of delivering high-quality, impactful contributions to the Magic Eden community.
