Expansion of the Spanish-Speaking Community of Magic Eden (6 months)

1. Abstract

Before the creation of Edén Mágico, Spanish-speaking users of Magic Eden did not have a space where they could have a voice, a vote, or a place to express their ideas and be heard. Edén Mágico was born to solve that need, becoming the official Spanish-speaking community of Magic Eden.

Today, we seek to enhance its expansion with funding of 150,000 $ME over 6 months. Since its founding in April 2025, it has gathered more than 2,100 followers on Twitter and 200+ active members on Telegram, in addition to organizing IRL events in Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Peru, and Costa Rica, along with workshops and livestreams focused on boosting onboarding to the Magic Eden ecosystem.

Additionally, Edén Mágico aims to drive social impact activities (educational, cultural, sports, and environmental), with the vision of generating a tangible impact in the real world, rooting Magic Eden as a recognized and established ecosystem within the Spanish-speaking community. This proposal aims to scale these initiatives through incentive campaigns, educational programs, and regional events, promoting both adoption and sustained participation in the $ME ecosystem.

2. Motivation

The Spanish-speaking community represents a growing market within Web3. However, many users face language barriers, lack of access to reliable information, and limited spaces for belonging.

• Problem: Lack of cultural and educational representation for Spanish-speaking users within the Magic Eden ecosystem.

• Solution: Edén Mágico acts as a bridge between Magic Eden and the Spanish-speaking community, providing onboarding, education, support, and spaces for interaction.

This is not a simple problem: we are connecting the entire Spanish-speaking Magic Eden community into a space where they have a voice and a vote, a space that did not exist before. We are pioneers in uniting the Spanish-speaking community under one roof, and now, in addition to consolidating those already inside, we will attract many more Spanish-speaking users into the ecosystem.

It is important to highlight that around 6–7% of the world’s population speaks Spanish natively or regularly, making it one of the most demographically and culturally significant languages globally. Serving this community is not only about inclusion, but also a key strategy for the growth of Magic Eden in international markets.

Achievements to date (April – August 2025):

• Community founded in April 2025.

• 2,300+ Twitter followers in 4 months, fully organic.

• Telegram group created in May 2025, now with 200+ active members.

• IRL events in Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Peru, Colombia, and Costa Rica, organized with member contributions and volunteering.

• 10 editions of group calls on Telegram as meeting and discussion spaces.

• 8 Twitter Spaces held for debate, education, and community.

• Onboarding workshops focused on integrating Spanish-speaking users into Magic Eden.

4. Specification

Work axes for 6 months:

1. Digital Growth and Social Reach

   • Expand the community on Twitter from 2,100 to 10,000 followers through campaigns, giveaways, and educational content.

   • Maintain weekly Spaces with an average of 80–100 listeners and encourage educational and community discussions.

   • Produce and distribute graphic, technical, and narrative content that reinforces Magic Eden’s positioning in the Spanish-speaking community.

2. Educational Activation

   • Conduct 12 online workshops (2 per month) focused on onboarding, wallet usage, $ME staking, and Magic Eden tools.

   • Include activities with rewards ($ME) to encourage active participation.

   • Share educational summaries in thread, short video, and downloadable PDF formats.

3. In-Person (IRL) Events

   • 4 confirmed IRL events in key Latin American countries: Argentina, Venezuela, Costa Rica, and Mexico.

   • Tentative additional event in Peru, subject to budget and local partnerships.

   • Each event will combine education (live workshops), community (meetups with holders and users), and social/cultural/environmental impact.

   • Work with regional ambassadors who will assist in logistics and outreach, achieving a tangible expansion of Magic Eden in Latin America.

4. Community Engagement and Rewards

   • Execution of weekly giveaways on Twitter and Telegram (1–2 per week).

   • Monthly community competitions: memes, fan-art, educational threads, and participation challenges.

   • Gamification in Telegram with monthly rankings.

5. Feedback Spaces

   • Continue with the weekly Saturday calls on Telegram, already at 10 editions, as the central space for discussion and feedback.

   • These spaces will also serve as the DAO’s accountability channel to explain fund usage and progress.

6. Financial and Technical Education

   • Regular publication of technical analysis and educational graphics, focused on teaching best investment practices and DeFi usage.

   • Hands-on workshops so users can perform $ME staking, swaps, and participate in Magic Eden programs.

7. Transparency and Accountability

   • Public monthly report of KPIs and budget use.

   • All payments under a proof-of-work scheme.

   • Unused funds returned to the Magic Eden community wallet.

• Loss or mismanagement of community funds → mitigation: managed through a community (DAO) multi-sign wallet, avoiding custody under one person and applying the proof-of-work method to allocate funds efficiently.

• Unused community funds → mitigation: any unused funds will be returned without excuses to the Magic Eden community treasury wallet.

• Low participation → mitigation: constant incentives and dynamic activities.

• Event saturation → mitigation: staggered scheduling and community feedback.

• +7,900 new Twitter followers (reaching 10,000).

With strategic resources, this trend can accelerate exponentially, positioning Edén Mágico as the pillar of the Spanish-speaking community of Magic Eden, with an impact not only digital but also educational, cultural, sports, and environmental, generating tangible results in the real world.

That said, one thing I felt was missing in the proposal is this:

How exactly do you plan to reach new users outside of CT?

Most of your current followers already believe in the project – which is awesome. But to really onboard new people, maybe it’s time to explore some bolder, less conventional paths.

Here are just a few ideas that came to mind:

• TikTok & Reels with viral potential – funny, bold, or thought-provoking clips around NFTs, $ME, or street-level onboarding

• Street interviews + instant onboarding – ask young people on the street: “Do you know Magic Eden?” then onboard them on the spot, send 20 $ME – but only if they stake in Degen Mode

• Crypto quizzes with levels & rewards – the more you know, the more you earn – but each level requires $ME staking (gamification + real utility)

These are just ideas, not criticism. I know how much work goes into a project like this. But if you add these kinds of formats, I really think you won’t just activate the current community – you’ll bring in fresh users who actually use $ME, not just hold it.

We’re really happy to see that the effort behind IRL events, organic growth, and consistent activity is being recognized – we truly do it with passion for $ME and for spreading Magic Eden everywhere.

Regarding your point, you’re absolutely right: one of the biggest challenges is how to step outside the CT bubble and reach new audiences. That’s exactly why we already started building presence on other platforms – for example, we have our Instagram account running (hope you follow us! lol) and we’re planning to launch the first Spanish YouTube channel dedicated to Magic Eden tutorials (Allen got experience on this). There’s currently nothing like it, and we believe it can become a powerful gateway for onboarding all Spanish-speaking users into ME.

At the same time, our focus with this budget is to build a strong working group – where each member has clear responsibilities and is rewarded for their time, effort, and proof of work. This structure will allow us to scale content and activation ideas much faster.

We also agree 100% with your vision around gamification. Quizzes, contests, and giveaways will be designed to boost $ME staking among winners. That’s our main goal: to keep increasing the community’s Staking Power (already above 6M) and make it grow stronger.
