Catch Me Outsyde: Onboarding the World to Magic Eden 🌍 Through Street Challenges, Interviews & Viral Content

Abstract

Catch Me Outsyde is a community driven content initiative founded by 0xProf, a longtime Magic Eden supporter, early user, creator, and advocate who was among those who pioneered individual giveaways to Magic Eden community on twitter and has personally given away over $3,000 in rewards to Magic Eden community members since February 2025.

As the lead and creative director of this project, I will bring along my years of experience as a YouTube content creator and video editor, having built and managed successful channels with my wife before launching this project.

Our mission with Catch Me Outsyde is simple yet powerful: To onboard the world to Magic Eden through entertaining, viral, and educational street content. We will spotlight Magic Eden in the real world, one city at a time, turning everyday people into future users, traders, and $ME believers.

Motivation

Most of crypto content appeals and revolves around a niche group of users famously known as CT (crypto twitter) and Magic Eden currently isn’t an exemption. But to achieve global mainstream adoption and interest, people outside the crypto bubble need to be inspired to participate. But as early stated, most awareness campaigns and content remain online catering to and reaching only existing users.

With Catch Me Outsyde we aim to bridge that gap by taking Magic Eden to the streets of the world, filming authentic interviews, challenges, reactions, laughter, and curiosity, then transforming them into viral short form content that reaches mainstream audiences.

Each video directly:

Introduces Magic Eden to global audiences through fun challenges.

Drives organic onboarding via specialised $me token embedded gift cards and or QR codes linking to Magic Eden sign ups.

Elevates Magic Eden’s visibility through recognizable, shareable formats.

Inspires other creators to represent the $ME culture in creative ways.

To show our passion and dedication to this project, I have self-funded pilot episodes that have already been filmed in Seoul, Singapore, London, Lagos, and New York, proving the format’s appeal and with community funding, the project will scale globally and consistently.

Key Terms

Street Challenges: Quizzes, Interactive trivia or physical tasks filmed with the public, rewarding participation.

Correspondent: Regional host representing Catch Me Outsyde in a continent or major city.

We shall also recruit and train correspondents across continents (Africa, Europe, Asia, Americas) to ensure a steady content pipeline.

Once the proposal passes, all future content will be filmed in 4K vertical format and optimized for X, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.

I think this is a solid project with great potential for Magic Eden’s growth.

A couple of quick questions:

  • Is there a way to track if new users onboarded become active long-term users or just one-time participants?
  • Will the QR code onboarding happen through Decks or another system? Could you clarify how that works?

Thanks!

Gm mate. About your questions, we’re actually already in talks with Deks founder to make the process easier by giving winners $ME loaded Deks cards, so every winner is instantly onboarded into the Magic Eden ecosystem. We’ll also mix in fun giveaways where people can rip Pokémon or NFT packs, showing off Magic Eden’s new exciting products in action and let them experience it first hand.

About long term user retention, bro I won’t lie that’s not something we can fully control, but our aim is to make the experience so fun and engaging that the people we onboard will want to stick around naturally. The bigger goal is to put Magic Eden in front of millions of new faces, make it exciting, and let people’s genuine curiosity turn into organic lasting adoption.

I appreciate your questions and hope you’re satisfied with my answer :folded_hands:

I was referring to user tracking in cases where onboarding happens through Deks. I don’t know the exact implementation behind it, but I was wondering how trackable the wallet actually is

So I’ve just found out that Deks is wallet less and isn’t on chain. It’s not a problem because I have a few other ways/ideas we could still achieve getting winners to download magic eden wallet, create a wallet, claim $me and use the platform.

The most seamless way would be an idea I’ve suggested on the discord to Jack and the Wing about possibly building a feature like jup’s magic link which basically lets you send any spl token to anyone via qr code and they can scan it and it leads them to download the wallet and create one immediately. I don’t know if it’s something the team will build in the nearest future but I’m sure we will figure out a way to do this to make tracking easier, as we would also love to track sign ups and include it in our reports.

Also, the other not so smooth way would be to get the winners to download magic eden wallet on the spot and create a address, then manually collate all winners address and track via dune or flipside.

When it comes to the giveaways that will involve people ripping packs, only option is most definetely to have winners download the wallet, make an address then connect and rip away.

Anyways, I love the question, thanks for asking and I hope my answers have been satisfactory.
